3. Quatrième – Grade 9

 

Voici une brève description du programme de Quatrième. Ce programme peut subir de légers changements pour s’adapter à la progression des  élèves.

Here is a brief description of the Grade 9 programme. This programme can be submitted to slight changes to adapt to the students’ progress.

 

 Unité 1: “La santé c’est important” / “Health is important”

Révision du corps humain. Les symptômes, les maladies et les remèdes. Les différences dans le monde en termes de santé, les causes du stress et comment le combattre. Le futur simple et proche.

Révision of the human body. Symptoms, diseases and remedies. Diferences in the worl in terms of health, causes of stress and how to fight it. Simple and near future.

Unité 2: “L’environnement” / “The environment”

Discussion sur les différents problèmes environnementaux et les solutions possibles. Le conditionnel et révision de l’imparfait.

Discussion on the different environmental problems and possible solutions. The conditional tense and revision of the imperfect.

Unité 3: “Les rêves et les peurs” / “Dreams and fears”

Les rêves et les peurs des adolescents pour leur avenir. Les métiers, leurs avantages et inconvénients. Révision du futur et du conditionnel.

Dreams and fears of teenagers for their future. Jobs, their advantages and inconvenients. Revision of  future and conditional tenses.

Unité 4: “Paris” / “Paris”

Recherche et présentation orale d’un monument ou d’un quartier parisien.

Research and oral presentation on a Parisian monument or area.

Unité 5: “La France” / “France”

Unité dédiée à la découverte de quelques points de géographie, d’histoire, de culture et de littérature françaises.

Unit dedicated to the discovery of France through a few geographical, historical, cultural and literary aspects.

Unité 6: “Premier amour” / “First love”

Qu’est-ce que l’amour? Etude d’un extrait du journal d’Anne Franck, analyse d’une chanson de Jacques Brel “Quand on n’a que l’amour”. Citations sur l’amour. Questionnaire sur les paroles d’un rap de MC Solaar. Vision du film “L’appartement” de Gilles Mimouni et rédaction d’une critique.

What is love? Study from an extract from Anne Frank’s diary, analyse of a song by Jacques Brel. Quotations on love. Questionnaire on and study of a rap by MC Solaar. Film “L’appartement” by Gilles Mimouni and writing of a film review.

Unité 7: “L’ amitié c’est important” / “Friendship is important”

Qu’est-ce qu’un ami? Problèmes liés à l’amitié et comment les résoudre. Lettre à la page des problèmes.

What is a friend? Plroblems linked to friendship and how to solve them. Letter to the Agony Aunt.
